This free fall experiment demonstrates that in the absence
of atmospheric drag, bodies of different density and mass
fall through a given distance in the same time. Made of
glass tube 60cm long with stopcock to be connected to
a vacuum pump.
RM5072 Lever Kit
Kit consists of five wooden beams 60x4.4x0.5cm graduated
every 3.8cm with a groove across its center to locate
fulcrum.
Includes 5 fulcrum supports and 40 metal weights 2.5cm
square.
RM5074 Gyroscope
For illustrating the principle of gyroscope action and
conservation of angular momentum. It shows that the gyroscope
will keep its axis of rotation to retain any particular
position in which it may be placed as long as the speed
of
rotation of the disc is maintained.
RM5075 Pendulum Bob
Brass sphere with hook.

RM5077 Hooke’s Law
Apparatus
To demonstrate Hooke’s Law and conducting simple
harmonic motion experiments. The apparatus consists of
a 12cm long scale that is mounted on a simple stand and
base, a spring with a weight hanger and attached pointer.
RM5078 Young’s Modulus
Apparatus
Consists of a brass scale 10cm long with
vernier reading to 0.1mm and with V slide clamps. Includes
ceiling attachment for wire, 5m long wire and a tension
weight.
This apparatus is capable of greater sensitivity and
accuracy. It consists of two iron frames connected by
a link. The frames are fitted with self centering chucks.
An accuracy cut micrometer screw to read to 0.01mm and
main scale of 0-10mm is fitted in one frame. One end of
a sensitive spirit level is pivoted to one of the frames
and the other end rests on the point of a micrometer screw
fitted on the other frame.
